Decatur FUMC Children's Ministry

Spark Children's Ministry aims to teach children from birth to 5th grade about the Bible and Jesus. We have so many fantastic programs that allow our wonderful team of volunteers to journey with your children on their faith adventures. We offer our brand new Children's Church held during worship on Sunday mornings, Sunday school time, and Wednesday night choir and fellowship! Our focus is on the Bible, imagination, and fun! Our dream is that our children would know how loved they are by our Church family and most importantly by Jesus!

  • Children's Church

    A Place for Children to Praise God! (3 year olds to completed third graders)

    Children will be dismissed during the worship service to head to our Children's Church room on the third floor. Once in worship, the children will experience age-appropriate worship, lessons, and games while still preserving some of the beloved traditions of our church! Families can wait in the sanctuary after the Benediction for their Children to be returned to them.

  • Wednesday Nights

    First Fellowship on Wednesday evenings!

    Wednesday night activities include a church family supper, followed by Bible lessons and games with the Director of Children's Ministries. Wednesdays are a less formal gathering where our focus is on fellowship and fun after a busy day at school. God created play and we celebrate that on Wednesday nights!
